Delilah Bleu

Don Ed Hardy is an America tattoo artist born in Iowa in 1931, and raised in Southern California. A pupil of Sailor Jerry, Hardy is recognized for incorporating Japanese tattoo aesthetic and technique into his work.


Tattootime & other publications

In 1981, Hardy and his wife formed Hardy Marks Publications. Under this marque, they began publishing the five book series tattootime. tattootime was one of several publications, which along with later publications by others, such as Modern Primitives (ReSearch Publications, San Francisco) and cool waves, did much to promote and popularize tattooing with new audiences. Hardy Marks publications include catalogs of Hardy's work and that of Sailor Jerry Collins, as well as other alternative art subjects.

Career today

Today Hardy is retired from doing actual tattoos, but oversees and mentors the artists at his San Francisco studio, Tattoo City. Since the 1980s, he has concentrated heavily on non-tattoo based art forms, especially printmaking, drawing, and painting.

Artistic career and influence

Hardy pioneered the pop-culture tattoo-as-art space decades before the worldwide boom in tattoo art that permeates popular culture citation needed] In addition to showing his own works. Hardy has curated a number of exhibitions for both galleries and nonprofit spaces and lectures at museums and universities.His work has appeared in numerous periodicals, books, films internationally and Christian Audigier's clothing line. In 2000, he was appointed by Oakland Mayor Jerry Brown to that city's Cultural Arts Commission, and awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the San Francisco Art Institute.

Don Ed Hardy Brands

In 2002 Hardy was approached by Ku USA, Inc. to produce a line of clothing based on Hardy's art and a licence agreement was signed. Within two years, the collection had drawn the interest of Saks companies. Hardy and Ku USA formed Hardy Life LLC, which holds the trademark ownership as well as the copyrights to all his images.

In 2004, Christian Audigier licensed the rights to produce the high-end Ed Hardy clothing line, which is based on Hardy's imagery. Prior to the Ed Hardy clothing line, Audigier was the Head Designer at Von Dutch Originals, which marketed the imagery of Kenny Howard. Audigier has attempted to replicate the marketing techniques employed by Von Dutch Originals, by marketing directly to celebrity clients and by opening stores in high profile fashion districts. Hardy Way estimates that 2009 royalty revenue will be approximately $10 million.

Neil Cole, Chairman and CEO, Iconix stated, "We are excited to have the opportunity to participate in the continued success of the Ed Hardy brand and believe there are tremendous growth opportunities worldwide." Mr. Cole added, "We also believe that by owning the brand alongside Don Ed Hardy, the founder, there will be opportunities to further leverage his iconic name along with his new artwork."

So I am at the local 7-11 because they have simply everything. lol I think I was getting some RockStar and Red Vines when ahead of me were two young kids. They were buying slurpee's and were short some money on account they had thought it was 99c vs whatever the actual cost were. Onion Rings Are So Hotpocket!

OMG I love onion rings! I had some in Spokane at zips and then also at FatBurger in Seattle. Yummy. Yes I tweeted both times too. LOL So a dear friend sent me a recipe and said I could share here so I am. W00P W00P Thank you.

I know some of you might not like onions, but if you know anyone who likes
onion rings while trying to avoid calories, these are the unfried version
and they are great! I made some today.

Get a large sweet onion (Walla Walla or other sweet version) and cut into
1/2 inch slices and separate

have a bowl of flour with some seasoning salt mixed in, a bowl of egg
substitute, and a bowl of bread crumbs (I used Italian from a can, but I
suppose you could make your own and I mixed with matzo meal, but by itself
is okay too).

Preheat oven to 400 while making up the rings

Dip onion slice one at a time into flour, than egg substitute, than bread
crumbs and put onto a Pam sprayed, large, shallow baking pan.

After you fit as many as you can (smaller ones inside larger ones) spray the
top of each of these and than bake for 10 minutes. Turn and spray again and
bake another 7-10 minutes.

Although they take a little time, they taste great! About 15-20 calories
each, instead of 100 each for fried!

When I first started I chose Yahoo free mail as a an option for my email communication. It was simple choice really. I had used it before and it was free. The past three weeks as my email communications have grown so has my needs. So here is what I did. I paid for the Yahoo Pro; it was only $20 for the year so not a huge investment. I did it primarily for the pop3 functionality. Then I downloaded Mozilla Thunderbird's email program. Integrating it was fairly easy. Setting it up was not. lol I had to recreate all my folders and filters. Then I found it did not automatically sync my sent folder. I had to research to find out I had to set a sent filter and then move online all my sent emails to the inbox and then have them automatically download into my Sent folder. I chose Mozilla Thunderbird for its ease of use and its functionality and its powerful search features. The one downside was I was living in two communication worlds. I am used to being very quick in returning emails and found it frustrating to be patient while my learning curve and the technology caught up. I think now that it is set up I have a better solution for me to communicate with everyone.

Choosing a Duo Partner A Newbie Providers Perspective

Choosing a duo partner amongst all the wonderful Pacific Northwest Providers out there was fairly difficult one. A lot of thought went into it before I even approached a provider. Twitter Karma is HOT!

Ok so I have so many followers that it has over ridden my inbox! Which was fine I created a filter that allowed me to just dump them into a folder. Cool right! No now I have to individually click on who is following me and follow them back. GRRRRR So I did some research and found the solution to all my problems. This allows you go through and instantly follow with a simple CLICK! w00p w00p Hope those that are twittering find this as useful as I do.

So, what is it?

Basically, it’s a Flash application that fetches your friends and followers from Twitter when you click the “Whack!” button, then displays them for you, letting you quickly paginate through them. By default, the list contains all your friends and followers and is sorted by last update, showing those who most recently updated first. You can sort the list alphabetically either ascending or descending by Twitter ID. You can filter the list in several ways: only friends or only followers, all friends or all followers, and mutual friends.

It’s not meant to be a full Twitter client–there’s plenty of those already and that’s not a particularly interesting or challenging problem to solve, anyway. Tech9 Concert at El Corazon Seattle April 27 Is Going to be HOT

I am so excited to be going to see Tech9 this month. His concerts are always bangin! I know that this is not for everyone but imho this is one of the best when it comes to rapping. He has deserves more credit then he gets. I know everyone is fond of Lil' Wayne who I love to don't get me wrong. But put him side by side and he outweighs him in both lyrics and beats. Baseball it was one of my dads favorite past times. As it is for millions of Americans. I remember when he took me as a young girl and it was a precious memory I keep with me. It is that patriotic recreation with that get out and hoot and holler for your team that just tickles me Bleu. I had an opportunity given to me by a new friend to attend tonight. WOW box seat on 3rd base! I know right. I had a freakin blast. I was stuffing my face with fish and chips from Ivar's and then had a sushi wrap and a red rope. OMG yummy. The game started out awesome with us ahead. But then it started to FAIL and we were down 5. I left early because I am a bubbly person and was getting cranky lol. Maybe they pulled it off but I left doubtful but happy to miss any traffic. All in all one of the best times I have had at a sporting event. Here are some pictures from my evening at SafeCo Field. Fast and Furious Is Hot

I was in Spokane and was all done with my day and bored and decided Hey Its movie time lets see what is playing. Well I have been a fan of this franchise ever since I have thought Paul Walker and Vin Disel was sexy! LOL 

Here is a movie franchise that is like the energizer bunny it just keeps going and going. And each time the financial and action stakes keep gettting bigger and badder then before. 

This was the first time all four from the original one came together. This is the if you remember what put Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, and Michelle Rodriguez on the scene and they all came back to help the franchise out on this one. 

The movie starts out with this incredible kick ass jack of a gasonline truck. It was an adrenaline ride from there. The race scenes kicked ass.

The downside is that I thought the movie was a little too long and the plot coould have used a lot more help. But you know what? I don't give a hot pocket, I had a blast and stuffed my face with sour gummies and sipped my drink clapping my hands the whole time. Yeah I can be short bus riding fool when having fun.

Some Thoughtful Reflection On my First Week as a Provider Delilah Bleu

Last week marked my first week as a provider! Wow so much has happened in that short time. I wanted to put some thoughts down. I remember all the work and question I had before I started. I remember the wonderful advice and patience of the provider that helped me understand what I was attempting to do. I remember setting the date on humpday (Wednesday) and finding a lot of amusement in it. I remember being terrified that no one would see me. lol I remember how amazed I was to find out that you all are human and the ones I have had the privilege to see are wonderful interesting ones at that. I remember having so much to do that at times I was sure I would never get the opportunity to open a door. I remember what it felt like to get my membership at the tanning salon something I had wanted to do for so long and paying for it myself. I remember sitting down at 13coins by myself to celebrate my IPO. I remember so many things. These are just the ones I want to share.

I have learned that this is a lot of work no matter how much fun you are having doing it. I have learned that kindness wins over hate. I have learned that boards and people can be political. I have learned that it is best to ignore then to react. I have learned that scheduling is the hardest thing in the world for me. I have learned that your day is how you make it. If you are happy those around you tend to be as well. I have learned that owning up to a mistake has its rewards. I have learned that I love myself and to give myself time to be a 20yo woman. That my well of giving and emotions needs to be replenished for me to be good at this. I have learned that housekeeping are very hard working people and treat them with kindness and generosity. I have learned that I am independent and on my own and doing what I need to for the ones I love. I have learned that I am beautiful and desired; a first for me actually. It is something that I am trying to process and be positive about and not let it get to my head. I have learned that an email or tweet from someone can so make my day. I have learned that this community provides a very much needed service.

I am thankful for all who have helped me finish an amazing week. Providers and Friends have all been amazing and very helpful and supportive. The advice, support, and encouragement has been amazing and so very appreciated. I am thankful that my angel watches over me and takes care of me when I enter uncharted waters. I am thankful for the wonderful friends I have met and the ones I have yet to meet. I am thankful that there are boards that allow us to be safe. I am thankful for the criticism and instruction. I am thankful for being Delilah Bleu.
